Muriwai Beach is approximately 45 minutes drive westwards from Auckland CBD. If you want a gorgeous mix of stunning coastal views and lots of fluffy seabirds this is the place to go. You can see the dramatic scene, hundreds of birds sitting on their nests. It is so beautiful watching all their interactions and seeing the birds flying around, sometimes so close you could almost touch them.
